Dear Brinkley,
Today, you have taught me to live my life to it’s fullest. Today, I will hug my children and make sure they know how much they are loved. Today, my husband will get extra kisses. Today, I will pray for you and your miracle. Today, I will live, dance and love more because of you.
On May 26th, 2010 sweet Brinkley was diagnosed with Brain-stem Glioma which is an inoperable tumor. She is now fighting each day for her life through radiation and chemo treatments and at only 3 years old… she has endured more than what is fair for one person. She is heroic! The lives this little girl has impacted during this past week is remarkable and I feel so blessed to have met her and her beautiful family. Our session was a struggle for Brinkley. She was tired and I am sure our time together was confusing and overwhelmingly difficult for everyone. However, she did remarkable and I love the effort she provided.
This post is so bitter sweet for me. Sweet because I feel so blessed to have met Brinkley and her family. Bitter because I wish we met one another under different circumstances. The unimaginable is happening to this family and all I pray for is healing. Brinkley needs a miracle. Brinkley is a miracle. Brinkley is here, she is a survivor, she is beautiful, she is my new friend and I wish her happiness and peace.
