You gotta love outdoor family sessions in mid February!!! I could have all of my winters like this one. Mr A was QUICK and much more interested in exploring his surroundings than me. Who can blame him? Through all our efforts we got some great shots that make me smile.

I have never been one to enter many contests or submit my images for critique, rewards or for fun prizes. However, when I reflect on my reasons why I do not do this it simply comes down to one word. Today is a good day! My little sister and brother-in-law were blessed with the birth of their first child, Nora Alice Brandt, last night and I couldn’t be more proud. I cannot wait to meet my new niece. In addition, this post features sweet Emery who recently turned one! It was such an honor to photograph her again and watch her do a little cake smash to celebrate this milestone.

Photographing sweet Finley was such a joy! She had her serious face on for most of our time together but did manage to showcase her smile for at least one shot. With this crazy weather we were able to venture outside for awhile as well. She is absolutely beautiful!

Winter break is officially over. Kids are back to school and the house is extremely quiet. I was sooo ready for school to begin again, however, I do find myself missing those sweet voices.
