Life was busy these past couple of weeks. We just got home from a vacation in Mexico, my mom had a total knee replacement and the kids’ activities are in full swing. So… let’s just say I’ve fallen a bit behind with documenting my everyday. In the past, I’d throw in the towel in say “Screw it! I’ve failed. Better stop. Can’t do this.” Blah, blah, blah. I used to… Keep Reading
my everyday – week 2
This week, I’ve learned that January is extremely boring. The days are short, the sun barely shines and my kids spend a lot of time after school on their devices. It’s challenging to come up with something to photograph that’s interesting each and every day. But, what I love about my outlook (so far) on this project of mine is that I’ve taken all the pressure off myself to make… Keep Reading

my everyday.
This year, like years before me, I reflect on my personal work and realize I don’t have much in my library of images that document my life. This deeply saddens me and is my motivation for picking up my camera in 2017 so that another year doesn’t pass me by. I’m definitely not perfect and therefore vow to release all pressure from myself to make sure it happens every single day. That… Keep Reading

It’s that time of year where photographers around the world promise to update their blog more, post more personal pics, and get organized. For me, I have those intentions but decided that I’m making no promises. LOL! But, let’s start off 2017 with a solid effort to liven things up around here. All my client interactions are on FB and the blog is getting lost and sadly never updated. Today,… Keep Reading
recent work. [omaha, ne photographer]
Tis the season. Fall brings on so many sessions that often times blogging, Facebook posts, updates, etc. get overlooked due to time constraints. However, who doesn’t have time for a quick collage update? This is a quick glimpse into some of my more recent sessions (but not everyone – those to come later). It’s really kind of cool seeing a handful of them all together.
mother’s day.
How I spent this special day. Happy Mother’s Day!!!
L family love. [denver, co family photographer]
“You must exist in photographs.” – Sue Bryce I was just listening to a workshop and the quote above was said as I was sifting thru images from this amazing Colorado summer session. I went to visit my family in Denver and was given the opportunity to capture a dear friend of hers while visiting. It rained SO hard a few hours before our time together. But, that didn’t stop… Keep Reading

the beach. [omaha, ne family photographer]
I could photograph families on the beach all.day.long!! Although distracted by all the lake activity these three managed to give me awesome lifestyle images (which are my favorites). It was a great session and some of these lake shots take my breath away.
dad’s girls. [omaha, ne family photographer]
Photographing this family was amazing! It was super hot, windy and the sun kept hiding from us. But, we didn’t melt and no one blew away. 🙂 They all had a great time playing around and I enjoyed capturing their connection.
sisters. [omaha, ne children’s photographer]
It’s always a pleasure documenting these beautiful sisters. It was a beautiful morning to watch the birds and explore!
