I was having weird flashbacks during this beautiful families session. I have been photographing Logan for awhile now and I was taken back a few years when he looked up and gave me the same face from the past. Now, sweet Mya has joined the family and we had her milestone session on her 1st birthday! This first image made me laugh so hard… it’s poster material!

Ms G is about to become a big sister and I cannot wait to meet their new addition! Plus, she just turned 2 so this session was aimed at capturing both her big milestone and mommy’s cute belly bump. She always gives me the best serious expressions. In this last shot I feel like she wants to say… “Um, excuse me but are we done yet?”

Even with all this heat… sometimes the sessions must go on. I swear I’ve lost 5 lbs in pure sweat at every session this summer. It’s just crazy hot but in a pinch we are making it work. I adored every moment at this family session. A sweet little belly bump, an adorable little man and family love was all around. When combined with a beautiful setting and gorgeous light it felt perfect. So many favorites that I could seriously blog them all… maybe some day I will.

Each year, Finn has a new song for me. This year, the song of the night was… “I’m sexy and I know it!” My kids LOVE this song and it finds it’s way to my ears daily so I had no problem singing right along with Finn as we snapped some pics. Who knew that while starting off this session we would be stopped for a quick interview by a Channel 3 news crew? Seriously, they should prep you more when it comes to asking questions that could potentially wind up on the air. How embarrassing and I understand now why most people we see on the news sound like idiots! They don’t tell you really anything about the story, throw this ridiculous microphone… Keep Reading

It’s crazy getting out of the car to photograph a family and realize you graduated with the dad. It’s funny because through our email and transactions prior to the session I didn’t even put his name together. Reconnecting with him after so many years was fun and photographing/meeting his beautiful family was even better!
