This kid, well, he’s amazing. He decided to start trapshooting this year which Matt and I know very little about. Learning this sport right along side Brandon has brought us even closer. He’s the youngest and only 6th grader on the Millard West team and I’m amazed at how quickly he is finding his rhythm not only within the sport but also with his teammates. It makes this momma heart all… Keep Reading
my everyday – week 7
March 8th – March 17th (this format is way more simple than dating each pic. I like simple!) Charlie’s blanket. This is what 8.5 years of love can do. I washed this today and realized that was the last wash it can withhold. Just looking at this image I can feel his love.

my everyday – week 3
Life was busy these past couple of weeks. We just got home from a vacation in Mexico, my mom had a total knee replacement and the kids’ activities are in full swing. So… let’s just say I’ve fallen a bit behind with documenting my everyday. In the past, I’d throw in the towel in say “Screw it! I’ve failed. Better stop. Can’t do this.” Blah, blah, blah. I used to… Keep Reading
my everyday – week 2
This week, I’ve learned that January is extremely boring. The days are short, the sun barely shines and my kids spend a lot of time after school on their devices. It’s challenging to come up with something to photograph that’s interesting each and every day. But, what I love about my outlook (so far) on this project of mine is that I’ve taken all the pressure off myself to make… Keep Reading
my everyday.
This year, like years before me, I reflect on my personal work and realize I don’t have much in my library of images that document my life. This deeply saddens me and is my motivation for picking up my camera in 2017 so that another year doesn’t pass me by. I’m definitely not perfect and therefore vow to release all pressure from myself to make sure it happens every single day. That… Keep Reading
Yeti’s 1st Hunt. [omaha, ne photographer]
These just make me so happy. Yeti did so great with the boys on her first hunt and I’m thankful I went along for the ride to capture it all.
mother’s day.
How I spent this special day. Happy Mother’s Day!!!
dawn.
My beautiful cousin was married in August and thankfully she has been so patient with me to post some images! I brought my camera and did a little second shooting of her. She was so stunning and had the perfect vintage dress that complemented our grandmother’s beautiful pearls. I love the vintage feel to these and it was so fun getting artistic with my editing. Congratulations Dawn & Matt!!!

Just look at how much my beautiful niece has grown! Having her here this summer aloud me the opportunity to kiss all over those adorable cheeks. She has many amazing features but her cheeks are my favorite (just like her momma’s). Check out all this cuteness…
a BIG announcement.
I have some big news to share… When exciting change is going to occur in my life I want to share it with everyone right away. Sometimes, however, it is best to wait until everything is in order before making an official announcement. Well, the wait is over and I am so happy to announce that my colleague and dear friend, Linda Gentry, and I will be sharing studio space! After… Keep Reading
bye bye 2012… hello 2013.
I was reflecting this morning, which is difficult to do with two noisy boys running around the house, on how amazing 2012 has been and all the wonderful people, relationships, milestones and new beginnings I was able to capture. I AM truly blessed and thank each and every client for trusting me to document your lives. In April of 2012, I could not believe I opened my doors to my… Keep Reading
